Log in to your Owed account, click New Invoice in the top right, select your client or add a new one, describe the job or add line items manually, set the due date, and click Send. Your client receives an email with a Pay Now button instantly.
My client says they didn't receive the invoice. What should I do?
First check the email address on the invoice is correct. Then go to the invoice in your dashboard and click Send Reminder. If the problem persists ask your client to check their spam folder or contact us at invoices@getowed.us.
How do I edit an invoice after sending it?
Open the invoice from your dashboard and click Edit Invoice. You can change line items, amounts, due dates, and notes. Click Save & Notify Client and your client receives an updated email automatically.
When will bank transfer payments be available?
ACH bank transfer is available now. Your client connects their bank account and pays directly with no fee. Settlement takes 1-3 business days. Card payments are also accepted with a 3.5% adjustment paid by your client at checkout. Instant bank transfers via FedNow rails are in development as more banks adopt the network.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings in your dashboard and scroll to the Billing section. You can downgrade or cancel at any time. Your account stays active until the end of the billing period.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use bank-level security standards. Your clients' bank login credentials are never seen or stored by Owed — they connect directly to their bank through industry-standard secure infrastructure.
How do I add my business logo to invoices?
Go to Settings and scroll to Business Profile. Upload your logo there and it will appear on all future invoices automatically. Custom branding is available on Pro and Growth plans.
What happens if my client disputes a payment?
Bank-to-bank payments through Owed are final once approved. Unlike card payments there are no automatic chargebacks. If a client requests a refund you handle it directly with them — Owed never pulls money from your account automatically.
